Jetstream is a high energy dance band fronted by the power house brother-sister team of Kevin and Deanna Carroll. They have a unique blend to their vocal sound which is coupled with crowd engaging energy: A combination that brings people to their feet and on to the dance floor. It’s always a funky good time when Jetstream’s in the house. 

 

The band is comprised of multi-talented musicians who have worked with artists such as Blue Magic, Evelyn Champagne King, Whitney Houston, GQ, Cuba Gooding Sr. and The Main Ingredient, Martha Wash and Melba Moore just to name a few. Jetstream specializes in music from Motown, Classic Soul and Disco, to the HITS of Today but can cover many other genres as well including Rock, Jazz, Blues, Big Band, and Swing. A little bit of everything for everybody!

 

Jetstream has the right combination of talent, showmanship and repertoire for any engagement. They’re the perfect choice for your wedding, corporate event, birthday party, club, etc.

Deanna Carroll

Deanna is a talented singer/songwriter with a rich soulful voice and dynamic stage presence. She knows how to read a crowd and deliver the goods. Her vocal prowess affords her the ability to pull off sultry Etta James covers to gutsy Whitney Houston anthems. She honed her extraordinary vocal and performance skills while working with top New York City and Long Island Entertainment companies. She is the Co-Owner and Lead Singer alongside her brother Kevin, of the high energy funky dance band Jetstream.

Her musical credits include backing vocals for jazz saxophonist Paula Atherton, background vocals for British artist Joss Stone (Soul Sessions), her original project “Soul Country”, which earned her a feature spot on the Morning Show, and the Tonight Show, The View, Zootopia and Good Morning America as the featured backing vocalist for artist Vitamin C.  She recently recorded a remake of B.B. King and Eric Clapton’s hit “Riding With the King”, which is available on iTunes and other media. She has also lent her voice to radio jingles for Honda and Lifetime Television for Women among others.

When she is not fronting Jetstream, you can catch her on stage as a member of the Chiclettes-a tribute to female artists through the decades, as a backing vocalist for Bobby Brooks Wilson (son of the Legendary R&B/Soul Singer Jackie Wilson), backing vocalist for the band Gypsy-Celebrating the Music of Stevie Nicks, backing vocals and leads in The Good Stuff  Band-a tribute to Steely Dan/Gino Vanelli/Sting/Stevie Wonder  and as a free-lance singer for several other bands.

Kevin Carroll

Kevin is no stranger to the music scene. His vocal prowess allows him to handle the finesse of 50’s doo-wop to the soaring style of Journey, which continues to make him a sought after commodity. He has had an extensive career fronting many top bands. He started his career with a 6 piece funk band, Manchild that he cofounded. He is the former lead singer of The Trend, Long Islands #1 Motown Party Band. On the wedding circuit he is most noted for his vocals with The After Hours Wedding Band & Heart and Soul. He is currently bringing his talent and showmanship to the stage as Lead Singer and Co-Owner of the high energy funky dance band Jetstream.

Tom Motyka

Tom Motyka (Guitar)-is  one of the original members of Jetstream. He is a classically trained musician with studies in Jazz Guitar. He was the lead guitarist for many years for the band Mid-Life-Crisis, who played for packed audiences throughout the tri-state area on the public and private scene. His smooth yet cutting edge guitar playing is an intrigal part of Jetstream’s sound. In addition to playing guitar, Tom also sings background vocals and occasional leads. When not on stage you can find him in the studio working on original projects.

Mr. Thomas Gooding

Thomas  has been playing Bass since the age of fourteen. Self-taught, He was Inspired by the music of His Father, Cuba Gooding Sr., Of the Main Ingredient , and other 70’s soul & R&B legends.

 

He has performed and worked with GQ(“Disco Nights”) , Alyson Williams (“Just Call My Name”), Ali Woodson of the Temptations , Melba Moore, Meli’sa Morgan(“Fool’s Paradise”), Freddie Jackson, Bobby Brown, Bobbi Humphrey, Martha Wash, Buddy Miles, Paul Schaefer, Jimmy Smith, Christopher Williams, Silk, Jagged Edge, Force MD’s, Will Donato, Jeff Redd, Randy Mueller(Brass Construction, and JJ Sansaverino to name a few.

 

He attended Five Towns College and has become a well-respected and sought after Bandleader and sideman for studio and stage. Thomas plays all styles of music with excellence, and is well known and respected as a consummate and competent professional in the music industry. He plays a Ken Smith Six String Bass and Fender Jazz 5 string.

Leslie Ming

Leslie Ming (Drums/Persussion/Songwriter/Engineer)-Leslie started playing instruments at the age of six. Trumpet and Bass were his original interests but by eight years old he was captivated by the rhythm of the drums. He started teaching himself how to play from then on. At age 11 he started playing with Ben E. King and the Drifters on summer tours. Straight out of High School he began playing with B.T. Express. He later hooked up with producer Kashif and was afforded the opportunity to play on records for artists such as Melba Moore, Evelyn Champagne King, Howard Johnson and George Benson. In addition he has recorded with Madonna, Mtume, Whitney Houston, The Four Tops, The Spinners, and Juicy Fruit. Engineering credits include Jay-Z and Michael Jackson.

Pearl

Pearl (keys)- is a writer, arranger & producer whose musical blend is setting him apart from other musicians in the industry. As a keyboardist he has played with George Clinton, Blue Magic, Christopher Williams, Barbara Tucker, Queen Aminah, Chester Gregory, Dave Mullen & Butta, Danni Gee & Suga Bush. His recording credits include: Nona Hendryx- Writer, Finotee- Writer, Arranger, Keys, Rhythm Republic – Writer, Arranger, Producer, Keys, Vocals, Sharief in Burgundy- Keys, and Suga Bush- Keys
